Holders Clontarf are through to the last eight of the RSA Irish Senior Cup after a 9 wicket win at Fox Lodge.
Leinster Lightning opener Bill Coghlan hit an incredible 14 sixes in an unbeaten 157, sharing an opening stand of 209 with Mark Collier (58) as they chased 255 to beat Fox Lodge, for whom Tabish Khan hit 131.

St Johnston evoked memories of their 1987 win in the competition as they stunned Strabane to reach the quarter finals.

The Donegal side recovered from a precarious 98 for 6 to post 220 with Jasia Wallia making 56.

In reply Strabane could only manage 170 despite 46 from Johnny Robinson.

Decker Curry and Adrian Murphy also shared a double century partnership adding 202 for Ardmore – but it was in a losing cause at Merrion.

Curry made 101 – his 93rd century in senior cricket – with Murphy hitting 9 sixes in his 97. Ardmore scored 230 for 5 responding to Merrion’s 293 all out.

Irish international John Anderson top scored for Merrion with 91, sharing a fifth wicket stand of 133 with Tyler Smith (67). Curry completed a fine all-round display by taking 4 wickets for 56.

2012 winners The Hills were given a fright by Bready before winning by 59 runs.

Three wickets apiece for Ryan Barr and Ernest Kemm reduced The Hills to 122 for 9, before Cormac MCloughlin hit 78 in a last wicket stand of 70 with Manu Kumar (26*) to get the home side up to 192.

Bready in reply were dismissed for 133 as Luke Clinton claimed a five wicket haul. Bready skipper David Scanlon was the lone batting success for the Magheramason side, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten 49.

Coleraine held their nerve to make the last 8 – they beat YMCA 3-2 in a sudden-death bowl out. David Cooke, Gareth Burns and Kyllin Vardhan hitting the stumps for the Bannsiders.

Railway Union also won in a bowl-out at Waringstown – Saad Ullah, Dhruv Kapoor and Kevin O’Brien all striking to give the Park Avenue side a 3-1 verdict.

An unbeaten 70 from Ryan Haire, and three wickets for Northern Knights left-arm spinner were the highlights of North Down’s seven wickets win at home to Phoenix, as the Dublin side were dismissed for just 132.

A solid batting display from Pembroke saw them post 215 for 6 in a 45 over contest at home to Cork County – five players passing 30, with skipper Theo Lawson top scoring with 44. Despite a battling effort, Cork finished 55 runs adrift.

In the RSA National Cup, there were wins for Cliftonville, Killyclooney, Woodvale, Carrickfergus, Laois and Mullingar.
