Selfless leg bye
Ireland Men make it 2-from-2 against Italy; Tector hits remarkable 96*

Cricket Ireland would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas. We’ve had a brilliant 2014, and hope that you are all as excited as us about what is shaping up to be a very busy and cricket filled 2015!
The year will start with an ODI tri-series against Afghanistan and Scotland in the UAE, with Ireland playing on 10th, 12th, 17th and 19th of January.
Those matches are part of final preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup which takes place during February and March in Australia and New Zealand. Ireland will kick off the campaign against the West Indies on 15th February (although the game will actually start on the 14th Irish time).
After the World Cup Ireland will return home and prepare to face England at Malahide in their first home ODI of 2015. The match will see Malahide turned into a fortress again, with 10,000 supporters expected to be in attendance.
Once the visit of England has passed attention will turn to the ICC World T20 Qualifiers that will be held between Scotland and Ireland. The tournament will take place in July, and will see the best associate teams in the world fight it out for a place in the 2016 ICC World T20.
Later in the year Australia will make a double visit to Ireland, with the men’s team facing Ireland in Stormont and the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars playing three T20 Internationals against the Irish Women’s team in August.
