Pakistan quick bowler Umar Gul has been ruled out of next month’s RSA Insurance ODI Series with an injured knee.
Gul suffered the injury last month during Pakistan’s tour of South Africa and will travel to Australia in the coming weeks for surgery.
Experts have said the bowler will take between eight and 12 weeks to recover after his surgery so he will not be able to travel to Ireland with his teammates at the end of next month.
