A workshop will take place at Leinster Cricket Club, Rathmines on Monday, February 25th (8-9.30 pm) next, relating to the area of ‘Managing Leinster Youth teams’. The Leinster under-age programme has grown at a rapid rate over the last few years and new managers are now needed to maintain this progress.
We currently operate teams from U’11’s up to U’17’s at both boy’s and girl’s levels. A comprehensive youth programme has been put together for this summer with no fewer than six tours to the UK planned. Added to this, there will be numerous interprovincial games along with matches against visiting teams from Australia, South Africa, Wales and England.
The workshop will offer general advice along with ‘best practice’ examples to follow when managing provincial youth teams. Practical examples of the day-to-day procedures to follow when engaged in this very important role will also be discussed.
