Close, but…
Ireland Women beaten but still on track at T20 World Cup Qualifier

With just 26 days to the first match in the ICC World Twenty 20, the Netherlands have named their squad for the tournament, the Dutch are also in Group B alongside Ireland, Zimbabwe and the UAE.
Netherlands named an experienced squad of 15 which features two faces new to ICC World events in allrounder Logan van Beek and Tom Heggelman, as well as the return of Timm Van der Gugten. The three were the only changes from the squad that featured in the World T20 Qualifiers in 2013, replacing Daan van Bunge, who made himself unavailable, Atse Buurman and Paul Meekeren.
Van Beek plays with Canterbury in New Zealand’s domestic cricket whilst 27-year-old Heggelman has not made his international T20 debut yet. Van der Gugten, who has played four ODIs and six T20Is, plays his cricket with Tasmania in Australia.

William Porterfield and Peter Borren will be opposing captains again in Bangladesh
After qualifying for the World T20 last year, Netherlands subsequently missed on qualifying for the World Cup at the Qualifiers in New Zealand and will be looking to make a major impact on the world stage again like they did in their previous World T20 appearance in the 2009 edition, when they beat England in the opening match of the tournament by four wickets.
