Ireland Women have moved to the Super Sixes stage – here’s when they play


Ireland’s pre-World Cup matches against Afghanistan and Scotland to be held in the United Arab Emirates during January will now be part of a tri-series as oppose to bi-lateral matches, with each team playing four games in a round robin format.
Original fixtures remain unchanged, except for a slightly earlier start time for the daytime matches, which will now begin at 0930 local time as oppose to the earlier advertised time of 1000.
The first match of the series will take place on January 8th, when Scotland face Afghanistan at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Ireland’s first match will be a day/night fixture against Afghanistan on January 10th at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
ICC Standard Playing Conditions for three team series’ will be in place, with each team receiving four points for a win and an additional bonus point if their run rate is 1.25 times higher than the losing side. In the event of a tie or no result each team will be awarded two points.
Also announced this weekend were the match officials for the series, with Graeme Labrooy (Sri Lanka) acting as match referee and Sharfuddoula Shahidsaikat (Bangladesh), Vineet Kilkarni (India) and Ahmed Shahab (Pakistan) the match umpires.
Ireland have already announced a squad of fifteen players who will make the trip to the UAE for the tri-series.

14 January: Afghanistan v Scotland, (D/N), Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi
17 January: Ireland v Afghanistan, Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
19 January: Ireland v Scotland, ICC Academy 1, Dubai
