George Dockrell continued to excel in his first full season as a county first team bowler as he rampaged through the Durham batting line up
Dockrell finished with the brilliant second innings figures of 6 for 29 within 12 overs. It included a remarkable period of 2 overs of left-arm spin which took 4 wickets without conceding a run! Several of Dockrell’s victims have played for England including recent internationals Paul Collingwood, Ian Blackwell and Liam Plunkett.
It continues a great recent run of form for Dockrell, who appears to be getting very comfortable with the mantle of the number 1 spinner for the Taunton based county. Somerset were left chasing 147 thanks to Dockrell’s efforts and ending up winning comfortably by 5 wickets, which leaves them sitting at the top of the County Championship Division 1 table overnight.
