Ireland Women beaten but still on track at T20 World Cup Qualifier

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a major disruption to the whole community, including the 118 cricket clubs across Ireland. Cricket Ireland and the Provincial Unions have compiled Club Support Information Packs relevant to both jurisdictions that outline a range of government and community schemes that can help sustain clubs through this crisis.
Further information tailored to each provincial union has been sent to all clubs this week, and the documents below will be updated as and when more information becomes available.

The Federation of Irish Sport and Leman Solicitors have posted advice on legal risks related to COVID-19, with particular reference to the risk of claims and liability.
Read the advice here.
As part of the above advice on minimising risk is a reference to insurance. While there is no common guidance about COVID-19 and insurance policies, we would recommend that clubs consult with their insurers on their standing and risk prior to restarting activity – some advice suggests that if a club has not followed the Government and sporting governing body guidelines, an insurance cover could be null-and-void in the event of a claim.
Cricket Ireland will provide further information on return-to-activity when it is available.
