The Ireland Men’s tour of the UAE

Today’s Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Match between Ireland and Afghanistan went into the reserve day, Wednesday 4th July. Despite a much improved day of weather conditions overhead, the terrible weather in the days leading up to today’s reserve day left the run-ups and the surrounding areas very soft and unsafe for play.
All tickets from today’s match will be transferable to the second Pepsi World Cricket League Championship ODI which is scheduled to start tomorrow morning in Clontarf Cricket Club at 10.45am. After a frustrating few days both teams are raring to play some cricket and with the weather forecast looking good for tomorrow, we should be in for an exciting match. Tickets will be available on the gate with all accompanied under 16’s being free in.
Ireland can take some small comfort in the fact that despite not a single ball being bowled in the last two days, they have extended their lead at the top of the World Cricket League table as both sides will take 1 point each from the first of two matches scheduled for Dublin this week.
