Ireland Men’s T20 World Cup squad announced

PRETORIA, South Africa – A dominant bowling display helped the Ireland Under-19s Women claim their second successive warm-up victory with a four-wicket victory over Zimbabwe earlier today.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl, Ireland never let the opposition batters settle. Eglinton’s left-arm seamer Jennifer Jackson was the pick of the bowlers with 3-15 – her three wickets coming in the first four balls of her second over. Kia McCartney, Ellie McGee and Zara Craig took two wickets apiece, as Zimbabwe was bowled out for 102 with eight balls to spare.
In reply, Annabel Squires top scored with the bat with 26 off 31 balls, after openers Siúin Woods (13) and captain Amy Hunter (15) laid the platform with a near run-a-ball 34-run opening stand. Ireland went on to reach the target with five balls remaining.
Ireland will face Pakistan in the first of their official ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup warm-up games on Monday, 9 January at 10am local time (8am Ireland time).
