Leinster big victors over Munster, whilst the NCU squeeze home in a thriller against the North West at the first day of the Under 13 Interprovincials in Cork
Leinster posted a dominant 236 for 3 thanks to big contributions from Sam Murphy and Harry Tector against Munster before history nearly repeated itself as Ian Anders, whose elder brother Rory took 7 wickets in the same fixture last year, took four of the first six wickets to fall today. He had to be satisfied with 4 for 10 Munster were never competitive as they fell to 32 All Out.
It was a much tighter affair between the NWCU and the NCU where runs were at a premium and Matthew Lightbody’s 19 proved crucial as the NCU gained the win by just 3 wickets. Pick of the bowlers were Charlie Shannon and Scott Torrens who both finished with very economical three wicket hauls
