Selfless leg bye
Ireland Men make it 2-from-2 against Italy; Tector hits remarkable 96*

Both the NCU and Leinster recorded comprehensive victories on Day Two of the 2014 Under-13 Inter-Provincial Tournament in Dublin.
At Park Avenue, the NCU found themselves in early trouble against Munster opening bowler Aaron Cawley ripped through their top order to leave the northern side in a precarious position at 28-5. But a 71 run stand between Archie Johnston (34) and Reece Malone (22) put their side back on track, before James Humphries (30) and Tom Miller (25) continued from where they left off to help the NCU to a competitive 172 before they were bowled out in the 38th over.
Aaron Cawley was the pick of the bowlers for the Munstermen finishing with 3-24 off his 7 overs which included 3 maidens. Also in the wickets were Senan Jones (2-35), Diarmuid Carey (2-28) and Aidan Leonard (2-12) while skipper Kieran O’Reilly also claimed a scalp.
Munster’s response never gathered any momentum, and they struggled to get the ball away as Jack Carson ripped through the middle and lower order to finish with the impressive figures of 5-6 off 7 overs, 3 of which were maidens. O’Reilly top-scored for Munster with 14, while Sufyan Khan (10) was the only other batsman to reach double figures as Munster were bowled out for 57 in 23 overs.
Across the city Leinster claime a second victory in as many days to remain the only unbeaten side in the tournament. They batted first against the North West, with Stuart Jackson top scoring with 54. He helped bowl the Leinster U15s to victory earlier in the week, but this time JJ Garth showed off his skill with the bat, adding 40 to Leinster’s final total of 184-6 off their 40 overs.
Of the North West bowling attack Ben Mills picked up 3-27 while Rhys Logue claimed 2-23.
In their rain-interrupted response, the North West could only manage 111 before the Mikey O’Reilly bowled them out in just under 28 overs. O’Reilly recorded the second 5 wicket haul of the day at a cost of just 18 runs, while JJ Garth finised with 2-30.
Tomorrow is the final day of action which sees Munster take on the North West in Balbriggan, while Leinster play the NCU at Ringcommons.
