DUBLIN – Ireland Women have been forced to make a change after Una Raymond-Hoey sustained an injury in yesterday’s match. Sarah Forbes has been called up.

Pembroke’s Forbes, 21, made her international debut in 2022, playing one T20I and three ODIs.

This series is proudly sponsored by Certa, a leading fuel and oil provider in Ireland.

Ed Joyce, Head Coach of Ireland Women, said:

“We’re all gutted for Una who has worked very hard to return to being an Irish international cricketer. This change is only for the T20I series for now while we assess Una’s injury.

“Sarah has been brought into the T20I squad this afternoon. She is a technically correct player that has expanded her game enormously in the last 12 months. She has developed to ability to hit the ball hard to different areas of the ground. We’re excited to see what she can do if selected to play.”
