Leinster claimed the Under 13 Inter-Provincial Series with a comprehensive 145-run victory over the North-West.
Batting first Leinster amassed an impressive 207-5 from their 40 overs, Alex Stiles leading the way with 65 as the rest of the top order chipped in with useful contributions.

Stewart McBeth was the pick of the bowlers for the North-West returning with 2-24, with Stuart Kennedy taking 1-25 in an economic seven overs.

After watching their top order score runs all morning, the Leinster bowlers had worked up an appetite for wickets, with Michael O’Reilly getting his side off the perfect start with four wicket for just four runs in his five over spell.

Phoenix bowlers Theo Dempsey and Liam Keating continued where O’Reilly left off, both taking 2-8, while Browlee was unlucky to take the brunt of a brilliantly entertaining 39 not out (8 fours and 33 balls) from Levi Dougherty and ended with the figures of 2-41 as the North-West were bowled out for 62.

Whilst Leinster took the overall title, they did not however, have the biggest win of the day. That crown went to the NCU, who secured second place in the competition when they beat Munster by 183 runs.

Matthew Humphreys and Oliver Metcalfe batted superbly to help the NCU reach 291-4 in their 40 overs, Humphreys making 84 and Metcalfe unbeaten on 94 from just 73 balls.

A target so close to 300 was never realistic for the Munster side which has struggled at time, and although Tom Mahon showed some resistance making 30, his side were bowled out for 108 as Adam Simmonite and Hugh Minford took three wickets each.
