Notable performances from the trip by Ireland Under-17 Girls to the Malvern College Festival.

First up Ireland Under-17s played Leicestershire Under-17s and batted with stand-out performances from Alice Tector (63 off 49), Genevieve Morrissey (42 off 36), Aisling Lawlor (36 off 39) and Emily Carville (28 off 15) however rain soon arrived and no further play was possible in the match.
Ireland Under-17s Girls then played Scotland Emerging in two T20 games with some interesting performances in both.
The first match began with Scotland Emerging winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. Ireland Under-17s posted 171 for the loss of eight wickets with Genevieve Morrissey (58 off 47) the top scorer. During her innings, Morrissey hit four 6s and three 4s while going at a strike rate of 123. Supporting efforts came from Millie Spence (41 off 30) and Alice Tector (31 off 17).
Scotland Emerging however then managed to chase down the total in the 18th over for the loss of four batters. The wicket-takers for Ireland during the Scotland Emerging innings were Sinead Thomson (1-22 from 3 overs), SĂbha Bhoja (1-37 from 4 overs), Vanessa Minford (1-30 from 3.5 overs) and Lucy Andrews (1-17 from 2 overs).
In the second game against Scotland Emerging, Ireland lost the toss and bowled first. Scotland went on to post 123-4 from their 20 overs. Joscelyn Wright was the only wicket-taker with 1-17 from her only over to go with two run outs for Grace Wilson and the single run out for SĂbha Bhoja.
Ireland then won by seven wickets chasing down the total in the fifteenth over. The main contributors with the bat were Alice Tector (41 off 26) and Genevieve Morrisey (37 off 39). Tector in particular impressed scoring at a strike rate of 157.7 while hitting eight 4s.
Then in their final game, Worcestershire won the toss and chose to bowl first. Ireland posted 150 all out in this 40 over game. Key contributors with the bat included Lucy Andrews (32 off 45), Isabelle McLean (27 off 43), SĂbha Bhoja (16 off 28) and Joscelyn Wright (15 off 31).
Ireland bowled out Worcestershire for just 51 in 16 overs. Millie Spence led the way with the ball, taking 4-12 from only three overs which included two wickets in her first over as well as two wickets in two balls in her third over. Other notable performances with the ball included Erin Bond (2-6 from two overs), Vanessa Minford (2-7 from four overs).
Next up, Ireland Under-17s Girls play Netherlands Under-17s Girls and Scotland Under-17s Girls in Deventer in the Netherlands from August 4th to 7th.
