Ireland depart for Netherlands on the #RoadtoOz

Ireland’s cricketers departed Dublin Airport today for the Netherlands for a massive 10 days for the side.
The Ireland cricket team embarked for The Netherlands today for two crucial World Cup Qualifiers on July 7 and 9. Victory in these two matches would seal Ireland’s qualification for the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, their third consecutive finals following memorable appearances in the Caribbean in 2007 and India in 2011.

Ireland’s lead at the top of the table is three points, two victories in the Netherlands would see the side reach an unassailable tally of 21 points and become the first country to qualify for Australia and New Zealand 2015.

The top two sides from the World Cricket League Championship after the completion of all 14 matches will qualify – the latest table is below.

Before the World Cup Qualification matches, the two sides also face off in a four-day first-class InterContinental Cup fixture from July 1st – July 4th at Deventer. Victory in this match for Ireland would ensure qualification for a fourth InterContinental Cup final.
